Details of more than 2.28 million users registered on a popular dating website, MeetMindful.com was leaked by a hacker.
The dating site’s data has been shared as a free download on a publicly accessible hacking forum known for its trade in hacked databases.
The leaked data of size 1.2 GB, appears to be a dump of the site’s user’s database. The file includes details provided by the users while they set up profiles on the MeetMindful site and mobile apps.
Some of the most sensitive data information included in the file includes names, email addresses, address, body details, dating preferences, marital status, birth dates, latitude and longitude, IP addresses, bcrypt-hashed account passwords, Facebook user IDs and Facebook authentication tokens
However, messages exchanged by users were not found in the leaked file.
For some MeetMindful users, full details were not included, but for many, the provided data can be used to trace their dating profiles back to their real-world identities.
The forum thread where the MeetMindful data was leaked was viewed more than 1,500 times and, in many cases, they were downloaded as well.
The data is still available for download on the public file-hosting site where it was initially uploaded.
The site’s data was released by the infamous threat actor known as ShinyHunters.
MeetMindful is yet to confirm the alleged data breach and due to the high sensitivity of the data leaked, they are supposed to notify the account holders.
